This page explains what Front Desk Tech News collects when you visit, why, who else sees it, and how long it’s kept. The short version: we don’t run analytics services, advertising networks or tracking pixels, and we don’t sell or rent anything about you.

What the server records

Like every web server, this site’s server keeps an access log. Each entry holds the IP address the request came from, the page asked for, the time, the page that linked you here, and your browser’s description of itself. The log is deleted after 30 days.

We use it to keep the site running and secure, and to count visits. The visit count doesn’t keep your IP address: each visitor is turned into a one-way code that changes every day, so it can tell one reader from another on the same day and nothing more.

Cloudflare

Every request to this site passes through Cloudflare, which protects it from attacks and delivers it quickly. Cloudflare sees the same details the server log does. Its privacy policy is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Sharing buttons and images

The share buttons under each story are plain links. Nothing loads from LinkedIn, Facebook, Reddit, and Threads unless you click one. The email button opens your own mail app.

Photographs are served from this site’s own address, and there are no avatar or image services.

Cookies

We don’t use cookies to track you. WordPress sets cookies only if you log in, or save your details when commenting where that’s available.

What we don’t do

There are no analytics services such as Google Analytics. There are no advertising networks, tracking pixels or session recording. Nothing about you is sold, rented or traded.

Do Not Track

We don’t track visitors across other sites, so a browser’s Do Not Track setting changes nothing here.

Children

This site isn’t meant for children under 13 and doesn’t knowingly collect anything from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
